We take two opposite ends of the IT spectrum: Enterprise Information Architecture and on the other side the design and construction of websites. Interestingly these two fields have a lot in common. Both require understanding:
- the position the organization holds in its habitat
- the goals the organization has
- the future it sees for itself
- threats and opportunities
- the means -to be made- available
At the two ends of the spectrum the works differ. In Enterprise Information Architecture the product is an information aware organization that is capable of sustaining its information and information processing needs. On the other end the product is a website that triggers interaction between the organization and its environment.
